177 COVID-19 cases were identified yesterday, increasing total infections in Sri Lanka to 93,772.
158 persons were identified from the Peliyagoda cluster while 19 individuals who arrived from overseas also tested positive for the virus.
Coronavirus recoveries rose to 90,708 with 145 individuals discharged during the past 24-hours.
2,476 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country while 447 persons suspected to have contracted the virus are under medical observation.

Two COVID-19 deaths have been were reported increasing Sri Lanka’s virus-related death toll to 588.
The Government Information Department said one of victim was identified as a 47-year-old male a resident of Mahaoya who passed away at the Colombo East Base Hospital yesterday.
Meanwhile a 70-year-old male a resident of Bibile, succumbed to the virus at the Homagama Base Hospital on Sunday.
The duo passed away of COVID-19 pneumonia and other health complications. (Global Times)
